Weston's Cobbs Mill Inn Closes After Death of Owner Drew Friedman

The Cobbs Mill Inn is temporarily closed due to the passing of owner Drew Friedman.

According to the obituary, the longtime Westport resident died in his sleep on Saturday morning, February 27 at the age of 86. Drew was a restaurateur who owned the popular Onion Alley on Main Street in Westport and more recently he renovated and re-opened Weston’s Cobb’s Mill Inn and acquired the Stonehenge Inn in Ridgefield. His final project was to open the “Celebration of Life Park” by the waterfall at the Cobb’s Mill.

The Cobbs Mill Inn released this statement on their website:

Plans are in motion to re-open Weston’s beloved landmark. If you have an event scheduled in the next few weeks, please contact John at 203 227 7221. Each event will be handled individually and solutions will be found.

We have always been committed to being there for the community and our commitment will not change.
