Yesterday afternoon we reported that Ridgefield Police engaged in a foot pursuit through town after a man used a counterfeit bill at a local establishment. Police apprehended the suspect on Danbury Road in Ridgefield and took him into custody.
We have learned that the counterfeit bill was used at The Prospector Theater located at 25 Prospect Street in Ridgefield.
"Quick thinking Prospects stopped him, called the police, and he was arrested," explains Theater owner, Val Jensen. "He thought that he could come here [to The Prospector Theater] and people with disabilities wouldn't know that it was fake money... hero Prospects stopped him and that did not happen," she adds.
