BRIO! Mother & Daughter Team Exhibit Art at Wooster Hollow Cafe

BRIO! A Mother & Daughter Team

Painting and Photography by Alexandria Donovan (mother – right) and Sara Roche (daughter - left). This exhibit presents their vibrant views spanning from the everyday to the abstract.

Alexandria graduated from Silvermine College of Art, studying painting under Richard Lytle. She went on to become an Art Director for Wright Investors' Service. Currently she is a full time Artist; she is represented by LACDA Gallery in Los Angeles, CA and is designated a Darkroom Gallery Master, Darkroom Gallery, Essex Junction, VT. A member of the Carriage Barn Art Center and Westport Art Center, she resides in Westport, CT with her husband Peter. " When I paint time becomes another dimension where color and drawing co-exist - when I take a photo, light and composition enables me to see the abstract. I explore both - with the aim for a cross-over development - so my paintings verge on the abstract and my photos become painterly."

Sara is a Vassar College graduate with a double degree in Math and Studio Art. Currently, she is a Senior Data Analyst at ClearStructure Financial in Danbury, CT. She resides in Westport, CT with her husband Ian and is a member of the Carriage Barn Art Center and the Stamford Photography Club. " I enjoy interweaving the discipline of my math background with the creativity of my artistic side to produce inventive solutions."

Both have received many awards for their artwork
