Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Let’s make 2018 a big year for our Ridgefield small businesses and put a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community.

Three questions with Amy Freidenrich, owner of Ross Bread Shoppe and Coffee House

Best selling product/service?

Avocado Toast!  We make ours on our signature organic Sweet Earth Bread (a round multigrain bread with sunflower seeds, flax seeds and raisins).

How many people do you employ?

We have 23 on staff. 5 High School students who work after school + weekends, plus 2 recent RHS grads who come back during college breaks.

Finish this sentence in regard to your business. “I wish I could…”

Hire a VETERAN. We work with the VA in Danbury and CTHires, and can't wait for a good candidate to come through our doors.

Ross' Bread and Coffee Shoppe tags Sarah Bouissou, owner of Bernard's and Sarah's Wine Bar.
