A Force for Spring at Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance

Like most dance studios, Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance (RCD) is prepping for their annual year-end Spring concert, but the nonprofit studio also has a new semester right around the corner, with yet another performance opportunity.

For the second year, RCD will present its Star Wars-inspired production, "The Force", during its Spring II semester, which runs May 21-June 21. Rehearsals launch one week after the Spring Concert weekend, May 12 & 13.  RCD also offers their popular drop-in classes for second graders and above.  "It's such a busy time of year that we don't require pre-registration, but rather students can pay per class. The session is aimed at dancers who still want to continue their training in the early part of the summer, to bridge their Spring and Summer program training" says Artistic Director Amy Piantaggini.

Registration is open for expanded Spring II Pre-Ballet offerings, including Ballet & Rhythm, a new class for age 5-7 combining ballet and tap.  Auditions for The Force will be held on Saturday, April 21 for first graders and above as follows:

Pre-Ballet II & III: 1:30-2:00 pm
Ballet I & II:  2:00-2:45 pm
Ballet III & IV:  2:45-3:30 pm
Ballet V & VI:  3:30-4:15 pm

One and two-week summer camps, as well as additional summer drop-in classes, are offered in August.

In addition, there will be four performances between June 22 and 24th at Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance’s Main Street Studio performing space.
