Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. Since the campaign began in January 2018, more than 60 Ridgefield businesses have been "tagged" and given the opportunity to share their story.

Three questions with Wade Kane, owner of Kane Technology Solutions.
Why did you start your business?
I started my business because I enjoy assisting small businesses and individuals with their computer needs. I have been in the industry for over 15 years, both as a technician and an instructor, and I enjoy working with people one on one to be sure their needs are met.
Best selling product/service?
My best selling services are back up and security services. I help small businesses set up a backup solution so that, in the event something unfortunate happens, they don’t lose all their data. I also help individuals and businesses with problems and questions regarding viruses, malware and the like.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Three so far: Squash’s, Restoration Massage and The Ridgefield Playhouse.
