You're IT Tundi!

Three questions with Tundi Zabniak, owner of Tundi.

Why did you start your business?

For starters, I have to tell you I came to the US 15 years ago from Hungary, where I had a number of businesses, but after 9/11 all of them collapsed. So, I came here [to the U.S] for a better opportunity. I started my business 8 years ago with a shoebox worth of jewelry. About 4 years ago, I made a decision to open a storefront. As soon as my realtor opened the door - I loved the space!

Finish this sentence: I wish I could...

I wish I could open more TUNDI stores around the US. But until that happens I would like to tell Ridgefield’s residents to enjoy what my store has to offer.

TUNDI is a boutique with great clothes, lots of accessories and great socks. We repair costume jewelry as well.

Best selling products or services?

My best selling items are clothing. I try to go to Europe at least twice a year to pick up new styles and refresh the store inventory. My best service is the jewelry repair. So many people have broken costume jewelry in their jewelry box, and they can't wear them, because of a clasp broke, a chain missing etc. I can't do miracles but can repair most of the beloved necklaces and earrings.

Tundi is located at 450 Main Street in Ridgefield. Visit them online here.
