Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Olley Court!
Three questions with Susan Buzaid and Robin Curnan, co-owners of Olley Court.
Why did you start your business?
Olley Court opened at 418 Main Street in Ridgefield in September of 2007.
Opened by Susan Buzaid and Robin Curnan, longtime friends, to showcase local artists and give designers and homeowners a place to buy luxury items for their homes. We shortly developed into a full-scale interior design firm and lifestyle boutique. We offer handcrafted pieces from around the globe; clothing from Italy, Japan, Brooklyn and Maine; jewelry and art.
How many people do you employ? Any locals and/or students?
Do you use any local businesses to run your business and can you name them?
Olley Court tries very hard to source products locally. We use Fairfield County Bank for banking needs, Squash’s for office and stationery products, Reliance Merchant for credit card processing, Tazza for daily lunches, Ancona’s Wines for all our party beverage needs, 109 Cheese for our charcuterie trays, Baileys Backyard for events catering and Luc's for dinners with the crew.
Olley Court services homeowners from California to Miami to the northeast. Although a large part of our business is design related we have a very successful lifestyle business where we see crossover for clients wanting luxury items for their personal use as well as their homes.
Olley Court is located at 418 Main Street. Visit them online here.
