Whip Salon Celebrates Two Years, Announces Client Appreciation Weekend October 13 & 14

Whip Salon is a full-service beauty salon that blew into town and opened its doors next to Bissell Pharmacy in the heart of downtown Ridgefield in October 2016. Earlier this year, the salon expanded into Westport and has become known for haircuts, color services and blowouts as well as its medi-spa services including eyelash extensions, microblading and Botox.

“It's been a fantastic couple of years at Whip Salon,” said owner Amy Pal. “We like to answer the phone "It's always a great day at Whip Salon" because it truly is. From our dynamic and talented team, to our friendly and wonderful clients it's just good vibes all around. We work hard every day to make our clients look and feel incredible one service at a time and I think that our unrelenting attention to detail has been a big part of our success."

In spite of being one of the newest salons in town, earlier this year it earned four Readership Awards from Ridgefield Magazine's Town Vibe including best haircuts, eyelash extensions, eyebrows and Botox. "We are committed to a top quality experience," said Pal. "Every client that comes through our doors receives an exit survey, if they aren't completely satisfied, we are sure to rigorously follow up and address any issues. What's Behind the Name Whip Salon?

If you've ever wondered what the name is all about, Amy Pal used the term "whip" as a slang for "hair" with her peer group when she lived in Seattle in the mid 90s. She says the name came to her immediately, it just clicked. 

"The thing about the word "whip" is that it's distinct, edgy and pretty versatile too. I've actually had clients come in the door and say to us, "Okay I'm ready to get whipped," which is absolutely fantastic! That means they get it and it's resonating. But also to be whipped by someone means to be completely enamored and devoted to them, and that's what we hope our clients will feel like and want to return again and again. "
