Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Reliance Merchant Services!
Three questions with Mary Kate Gobleck, owner of Reliance Merchant Services.
Why did you start your business?
I started Reliance Merchant Services 16 years ago after working for two other companies in the credit card processing industry and realizing the value of customer service to clients and how we could do it better.
How many people do you employ? Any youth or seniors from the community?
Currently, Reliance employs five women including myself. Our subsidiary, Reli-Bid LLC employs up to ten event consultants at this time and is growing every month. All of my employees are local Ridgefield area residents.
