UPDATE: Just in! Ridgefield resident Ariane Carro posted information about Luna Rossa on the Ridgefield Eats Facebook page. She said, "The word is out... Posa, opening in the new year at the old Luna Rossa location (90 Danbury Rd)". Posa Ridgefield has a newly launched Facebook Page where you can follow updates on the new restaurant. On November 26, Posa posted, "Posa’s pizza oven is being tested in Italy and then will be on its way to Ridgefield."
Last week, Luna Rossa, located at 90 Danbury Road, suddenly closed and a sign was placed on the door reading, "Closed for renovations, sorry for any inconvenience."
We called both Ridgefield Planning & Zoning and the Health Department they do not have any paperwork or formal application that was submitted for the property.
Luna Rossa's Facebook Page was last updated on Thanksgiving. There is no information on the social media page about the restaurant closing.
A call to the restaurant brought us to the answering machine which announced the restaurant hours and prompted the caller to make a reservation on the phone.
Luna Rossa is owned by Annamaria Macciocco.
