Why did you start your business?
We started our business because, after collaborating together for several years, we saw a growing need for comprehensive eating disorder treatment in northern Fairfield County. Not only was there a lack of eating disorder specialists in this area, but there wasn’t a practice with all of the necessary treatment components under one roof. The most effective eating disorder treatment requires a multidisciplinary team. THRIVE allows families to access the entire team in one location for ease of scheduling and team coordination.
Best selling product or service?
Our best selling service is our comprehensive treatment approach consisting of individual therapy, nutritional counseling, family therapy, group therapy, and psychiatric services. We wish we could support the community and schools in eating disorder prevention and education. We want to shift the emphasis from body image ideals, fad diets, food trends, and excessive exercise to character building, strong self worth, and healthy lifestyles that are sustainable throughout life. We would like to help define the way our community views wellness.
