Get Pumped Up, Ridgefield! Fit Club is Coming to Town!

Get pumped up because today, Sunday, March 3, Ridgefield embarks on a whole new fitness experience!

Two former employees of The Gym in Ridgefield, Jenny Conciatore and Mike Subach, together with partners Sue Johnstone, and Cathy and Tom  Migliaccio, signed a ten-year lease at 66 Grove Street in Ridgefield and will transform the ten thousand square foot building into a training-focused gym with an emphasis on community.

Enter Fit Club.

Set to open this spring, Fit Club, with its sleek Blue, White, Silver, Black motif, is the brainchild of fitness experts Conciatore and Subach who bring a combo of fervor, skill, professionalism and fun to this new fitness experience. “Our brand is total health,” says Conciatore.

Conciatore, a licensed Zumba instructor, and Subach, an expert trainer and exercise physiologist, worked alongside each other The Gym for more than a decade, building the business and attracting members who not only believed in fitness and health but in friendship.

“When those doors closed - not only did we lose our jobs, we lost our family,” Conciatore recalls.  Now, we’ll be back and better than ever!” says Conciatore, who is Fit Club’s General Manager and Fitness Instructor.

It was 2014 when fitness sparks ignited and the endorphins reached an all-time high for Conciatore and Subach. What if they combined their energy and industry know-how?

“I always wanted to own my own health club - it’s was a dream of mine, but I couldn’t visualize it until I got to know Mike and that didn’t happen until I began working the front desk, and realizing who he was,” says Conciatore.

Bam. Who he was... “Mike’s knowledge and expertise - it’s just amazing,” says Conciatore. Subach, who has trained loyal clients for some 14 years, believes in optimizing each individual’s health by utilizing modalities including Metabolic and VO2 Max Testing combined with nutrition counseling. He steps into the role of Fit Club’s Head Trainer and Exercise Physiologist.

“Mike will guide our members as to what they need to do to attain their greatest personal physicality,” says Conciatore.

“Fit Club is smart and fun, it’s that easy,” says Subach “If you train smart, you will see results, you won’t get hurt,” he adds.

Fit Club members will get an adrenaline rush when they see the layout of the Club. “The biggest change is when you walk out on the floor, the cardio deck will still be there but the middle of the floor will all be turfed - that’s for movement or group training,” says Subach. “If our members want to set up their circuits, they will have room,” he adds.

New cardio equipment, a renovated spin studio and group fitness studio, complete with new spin bikes, will add to the Fit Club experience. “We’ll have group fitness classes, an improved room, and most of our awesome instructors will be back!” says Conciatore.

Fit Club members will need to commit to a yearly membership but are welcome to pay monthly. Group training and personal training packages, as well as group classes, can be purchased a la carte.

“Fit Club is a community-based gym. We’re back!” says Conciatore.

Fit Club is located at 66 Grove Street in the heart of Ridgefield’s business district. Don’t miss a beat. Follow Fit Club on Facebook here.
