Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT The Pharm Stand!

Three questions with Chris Singleton, owner of The Pharm Stand.

Why did you start your business?

Hemp-derived products with CBD are being sold everywhere from coffee shops and gas stations to hardware stores.  We felt there was a need to have a venue where the retailer can go and learn about the potential benefits of CBD and make informed purchase decisions.  We make sure we are bringing top quality products to the community.  We opened our first store in Armonk NY at the beginning of the year.  We felt that Ridgefield was a great fit for us as it is a health-conscious, active and pet-loving community.

What is your best selling product/service?

Our best sellers are products for anxiety, pain relief and sleep.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We bought supplies from Ridgefield Hardware and Ridgefield Supply during the build-out of the store.  We bought tables from Silver Linings consignment and have participated in Rock Ride Run with the Ridgefield Playhouse.  Of course, we fuel up with coffee from Taza, hotdogs from Michael and after-work cocktails at Tablao!

The Pharm Stand is located at 470 Main Street in Ridgefield. Visit them online here.
