Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Joy of Movement!

Three questions with Cheryl Lozach, owner of Joy of Movement.

Why did you start your business?

I took over the business in 2003 from my daughter. She had a dance studio and my other daughters danced so I knew the need was there.

Best selling product or service?

Probably the best selling item for sale is our pointe shoes. Dancers come in for an experienced shoe fitting.

Do you use any local businesses to support your business? Can you name them?

We support our local businesses! We use Squash's for our printer and office supplies, Ridgefield Shoe Repair is always ready if we need a shoe repair and the local restaurants that deliver food keep us going!

Joy of Movement nominates Ridgefield Shoe Repair!

Joy of Movement has expanded and is now located just across the parking lot from their previous location. Find them at Joy of Movement-15 Danbury Road.
