You're IT Collegiate Career Services!
Three questions with Kathleen DeLuca, owner and founder of Collegiate Career Services.
Why did you start your business?
After working in Human Resources for over 20 years and interviewing lots of people at all stages of their career, it began more real to us when our own kids were interviewing for their first job/college interview. Students need to learn the basics of the interview process, build their confidence and learn to communicate effectively with adults for the job/college they are interested in.
Finish this sentence in regard to your business: I wish I could...
I wish I could support our local high school/college students be more prepared to ace the job search and interview process. They want to find a great first job so they can get a return on their investment.
What is your best selling product or service?
We have a lot of interest in our mock video interview session which gives the students "live" interviewing practice and immediate feedback. They have the opportunity to build their skills throughout the day with practice at the start of the day, core interview skill development mid-day and ending the day with another round of video practice. They can see how much better they get on their interviews and leave ready to hit the job market!
