New Community Garden at Farmingville Elementary School

The Community Garden Open for Planting!

After many months of planning and preparation and a lot of construction and hard work, I am proud to announce that the new community garden located at Farmingville Elementary School is open for planting.

There are still some available plots because of the last-minute expansion from twenty to forty, so if you want a plot to plant in, call Town Hall at (203) 431-2700 before they’re all gone.

I want to say another thank you to everyone that helped out with this project, because I could not have done it without you all. I want to especially thank Mr. Couri and Youngs of Ridgefield for constructing the fencing, Mr. Hägen from Hägen Remodeling for constructing all the beds, and all the volunteers that came to help wheelbarrow dirt and wood chips into the garden.

Happy gardening!
