What do you want the community to know? Are there ways for the community to help you and other local businesses to prosper?

Dr. Lori Wagner is a Clinical Psychologist and owner of Mind Body Soul – Psychology and Consulting Group, LLC in Ridgefield, CT. She specializes in Behavioral Medicine and focuses on the relationship between psychological and medical issues. She provides therapy to individuals with acute and chronic medical conditions while also providing support to family members and health care professionals who live and work in the community. Other specialty areas include depression, anxiety, stress management, women’s health, spirituality, caregiver support, trauma, college mental health, adjustment to life transitions, biofeedback, and mindfulness meditation.

Dr. Wagner provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy. She facilitates an informative 4-week educational/support group series as well as an ongoing monthly support group for caregivers of family members with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Dr. Wagner also provides consultation, workshops, team building, and leadership/organizational development for businesses, hospitals, medical practices, assisted living, and nursing home facilities.

She is the facilitator for Schwartz Rounds at Danbury Hospital where she helps health care professionals openly discuss the emotional impact of taking care of patients and their families within a supportive, interdisciplinary setting. Previously, Dr. Wagner worked at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation unit at Danbury Hospital. She was the former co-chair of the Leadership Institute at the New York State Psychological Association. Additionally, she worked at Associated Neurologists and was the Director of the Western Connecticut State University Counseling Center. She enjoys hiking, dancing, reading, music, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Wagner greatly appreciates being able to provide compassionate care to the residents and organizations of Ridgefield and surrounding communities during these challenging times. 

Are there certain individuals or organizations that supported you and your business through this trying time?

Selectman Bob Hebert in Ridgefield went above and beyond to ensure that local businesses had access to masks and thermometers.
Local medical practices and colleagues continue to refer clients who are experiencing anxiety, stress, and sleep difficulties related to Covid-19.

Business organizations and health care professionals recognize the importance of managing stress during these challenging times. They continue to schedule virtual workshops, retreats, and team-building with my practice.
 
Please share the ways your business is adapting to keep your customers and employees safe in addition to the standard guidelines

Due to Covid-19 and social distancing guidelines, Dr. Wagner is facilitating all individual, couples, family, and group therapy via telemedicine with both audio and video capabilities. Clients greatly appreciate using this safe modality to connect and access care from the comfort of their own homes. Dr. Wagner is currently facilitating virtual training, workshops, team building, and programming for organizations, hospitals, and businesses within the community.
