The $2.6M that was said to have been matched “by the town” is not accurate. The Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield organization has privately raised those funds through private and individual donations.
A couple of weeks ago, the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield (BGCR) was awarded a STEAP grant in the amount of $128,205 from the State of Connecticut to go toward the Club’s upcoming expansion project.
The BGCR organization would like to publicly address an error in the information that came from the state’s press release (and then shared locally) to make sure there is no confusion amongst our donors, taxpayers and the community at large.
We (the Boys & Girls Club or Ridgefield) have not received any funding for the project from the Town of Ridgefield.
