Compassionate Ridgefield announces the launch of a new Community Ambassador, a partnership with local businesses/organizations with the goal of increasing visibility pertaining to the town of Ridgefield’s commitment to becoming a “town of compassion”.
Based on Ridgefield’s Charter for Compassion pledge, local businesses/organizations who become Community Ambassadors will commit to making business and organizational decisions with principles of compassion in mind. Each business/organization that joins Compassionate Ridgefield as an ambassador will also receive a window cling, signifying their commitment and participation.
Compassionate Ridgefield is a non-partisan not-for-profit initiative. Born out of concerns about the high rates of stress, depression, and bullying among youth, the incivility and hostility on all social media platforms, as well as the increase in hate vandalism in Ridgefield, the ultimate goal is to create a Ridgefield where every person - no matter their age, ethnicity, gender, religion, political or sexual orientation - feels welcome and respected.

Ridgefield plans to join the International Charter for Compassion during a community-wide signing of The Charter during the weekend of May 1, 2021 (see www.charterforcompassion.org).
