Saint Mary School in Ridgefield To Remote Learning After Spike in COVID-19 Casesransitions to Remote

What a difference a week makes.
At the beginning of last week, Saint Mary School Ridgefield had no students or staff in quarantine due to school exposure to COVID-19.  Things started to change on Thursday, February 25, and today, Principal Anna O'Rourke announced the shift to fully remote learning until March 15, 2021.
"I have two concerns at all times", said O'Rourke, "the health and safety of the Saint Mary School Community as well as the ability of my staff to deliver exceptional instruction to our students.  It is clear that the temporary shift to remote supports both of those goals."
She went on to say, "We do not have a magic number of cases that causes us to make this decision.  We look at each and every occurrence and the details of it in concert with town officials.  We are grateful for the guidance and support of local experts, and continue to pray for all of those affected by COVID-19."
