Jaipore Xpress hoped to open its doors at 19 Bailey Ave today but we just heard from co-owner Roshan Balan that they are not quite ready.
"We have a few more things to take care of in order to make the space more comfortable, and that should be taken care of in a couple of days," Balan said.
With a sister location in Brewster - "Jaipore" Ridgefield will be home to the "Xpress" version serving fresh, authentic Indian cuisine. "The menu will be a bit different," said Jeevan Pullan who owns the restaurant with Balan. In addition to Indian classics like Tikka Masala, Pullan wants to introduce Ridgefield to some unique tastes of India.
While the restaurant will focus on takeout, we were told that there will be a few seats inside as well. With the current health climate a fluid situation, Balan says that initially, “It could be just a soft opening with just take out and delivery.” View the menu (Brewster location) here.

Balan's business partner Jeevan Pullan is a seasoned restaurateur who owns Mexican restaurants in Yonkers and Hartsdale.
