Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Palazzo Landscaping!

Three questions with Nic Palazzo, founder of Palazzo Landscaping.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Our most popular service is our spring clean-up, we go through each property to meticulously prep it for the busy months ahead. This includes a lawn thatch, bed edging and mulching, and important pruning to the shrubs and perennials in the garden.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We love to support locals! We shop at tiger sports for all of our gear, shirts, hats, sweatshirts, and more. Our trucks are constantly at Limestone Service for gas, and even for repairs! Our crews love to stop at What’s Cookin? for lunch and Ridgefield Supply for materials. Keough's hardware also keeps our garage team productive throughout the winter.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

We certainly have! What started as a small business, mainly employing students and college guys, has been reimagined to be a large presence in the industry, catering to some of the finest estates in Fairfield County, as well as many commercial properties.
