The Enchanted Nutcracker Premier: Calling all Dancers for Summer Workshop

Calling all dancers! Registration is now open for the Enchanted Garden’s 20th annual Nutcracker winter performance.

Choreographed and directed by Brenda Froehlich, “The Enchanted Nutcracker” is a spirited modern adaptation of this classic ballet. This will be the premier of Ms. Froehlich’s Nutcracker in Ridgefield. She developed the production over the past two decades while serving as owner and creative director of Wilton Dance Studio.

Dancers (grades K-12) will learn the choreography in a week-long summer camp from August 22-26. Additional rehearsals will be held on Sundays in the fall, culminating in a performance on December 17, 2022, proceeds to benefit a charitable organization.

“The Enchanted Nutcracker” is sure to dazzle the audience with its Swarovski crystal accents on the costumes, tiaras, and matching necklaces designed by Ms. Froehlich. The show also features hand-painted sets and outstanding props, including a handmade canon, grandfather clock, and a 1700s cutter sleigh. Ms. Froehlich worked closely with local artist Joanie Johns Lerner, who designed fabric for several of the costumes in Broadway’s “The Lion King”
