Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Jefferson Guthrie Real Estate!
Three questions with Jefferson Guthrie, founder of Jefferson Guthrie Real Estate.
Why did you start your business?
My aunt and uncle once owned their own real estate company and I always admired how they enjoyed their profession meeting new people many of whom have become lifelong friends.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
I rely on Chris Luffman from Gold Shield Inspection in Ridgefield, to guide my clients through the home inspection process. I recommend Attorney George Cohan to advise my clients through the home closing process. For mortgages, I recommend Patrick McRedmond from Fairfield County Bank, Terry Hastings from Total mortgage, and Tim Martin from Guaranteed Rate. And, of course, Bill Dexter from Dexter Septic for the septic repairs. It's great to have such a deep bench of professionals here locally to draw from!
Have you reimagined your small business?
My business is always changing and I try to use the best tools available to have my client's homes stand out by using professional photography, TV and online promotion, and targeted adverting which is why I always give outstanding customer service. I have been recognized by Connecticut Magazine with their 5-star service award, for customer service, every year for the last 7 years!
So if anyone needs to sell their home, my team and I will make the transaction go smoothly with the utmost client satisfaction.
