Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Accelerated Movement Physical Therapy!

Three questions with Andrea de Lange, founder of Accelerated Movement Physical Therapy.

Why did you start your business?

I started Accelerated Movement Physical Therapy to bring physical therapy and wellness services to people in the comfort of their own homes. This allows me to see a person in their home environment and give one-on-one attention without the pressure of a waiting room or other distractions you might typically have in a clinic setting.

What is your best-selling product/service?

We specialize in the treatment of people with back and neck pain, impaired balance and gait, extremity pain, post-surgical recovery, as well as improving the quality of life for people with Parkinson's disease.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

One way I have reimagined my business is by providing wellness services in the community. I can help clients continue to improve their strength, mobility, and balance after completion of a physical therapy episode of care either one on one or in a group setting. I am currently holding a wellness class called Balance and Beyond in Ridgefield at the RVNAhealth Wellness Center on T/TH at 1:30. To learn more click here.

Andrea would like to nominate Tiger Sports to be featured next - "They have been so helpful with my customized personal apparel!"
