Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Semia Education Technology!

Three questions with Eugene Zhang, founder of Semia Education Technology.

Why did you start your business?

I grew up in Ridgefield and went to middle school and high school here. After a career in STEM education overseas, I decided that I wanted my children to also grow up in this wonderful town while at the same time, offering the kids in Ridgefield a unique STEM learning experience with LEGO.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Our bestselling product is Code Creator - Program LEGO robots.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We are relatively new, perhaps we bring some business to restaurants nearby, and we use local printing services for marketing and flyers.

Semia Education Technology is located at 28 Prospect Street in Ridgefield. Visit Semia Education Technology online here, and make sure to check out their Facebook, and Instagram pages as well!
