Niche a website headquartered in Pennsylvania that boasts they review and analyze dozens of public data sets and millions of reviews to produce comprehensive rankings, has released their 2023 Best Places to Live in America rankings.
According to their data, Ridgefield is the 28th best place to live in Connecticut. Coming in at #1 is West Hartford. Narrowing the rankings down to Fairfield County, Old Greenwich is on top followed by Southport. Ridgefield comes in at #12 in Fairfield County.
Ridgefield is the 15th best place to raise a family in the Nutmeg state and gets an overall rating of “A” from Niche. The public schools get an “A+. Our town gets a B- for diversity.

This is the ninth consecutive year that Niche has produced these rankings, 228 cities and 17,932 towns and neighborhoods were included.
Niche says that for the first time ever, Cambridge, Mass., has been named the #1 Best City to Live in America. Chesterbrook, Pa., a neighborhood in the Philadelphia area, keeps its title as the #1 Best Place to Live in America for the fourth year in a row.
