Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Melissa Rifkin Nutrition!

Three questions with Melissa Rifkin.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Customized meal plans and 1-on-1 sessions are my most popular services. Each service is tailored to the individual client to help them meet their specific needs and goals.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

Yes! Deborah Ann's Sweet Shoppe, Millilo Farms, Ridgefield Organics Market, Queen B Coffee, 109 Cheese and Wine, Stacey's Totally Baked, Ridgefield Prime and V Nail Salon!

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

Since starting my business in 2012, it has been entirely virtual. I would love to see clients in person once my kids are school-age.
