On Sunday afternoon (2-4 pm), September 16, Ridgefield Democrats will hold Pie & Politics 2018 at the home of Betsy and Bob Thompson in Ridgefield. A crowd-pleasing, family-friendly event, Pie & Politics features savory and sweet pies and nibbles, iced beverages, music, friendly spirited conversation and appearances by national, state and local Democratic officials and candidates.

Meet Democratic Officials and Candidates

In recent years, US Senator Richard Blumenthal, US Senator Chris Murphy, Congressman Jim Himes, Secretary of the State Denise Merrill, State Comptroller Kevin Lembo, First Selectman Rudy Marconi and other state and local officials have attended. They’ve all been invited this year, along with gubernatorial candidate Ned Lamont, Lt. Governor candidate Susan Bysiewicz, state Attorney General candidate William Tong, state Treasurer candidate Shawn Wooden, 26th District State Senate candidate Will Haskell, 111th District State Assembly candidate Aimee Berger-Girvalo, and 138th District State Assembly candidate Kenneth Gucker. Ridgefield Democrats' Chair Alex Harris said, “There is no more enjoyable, delicious or convenient way to meet and mingle with these amazing leaders!"

The event is a fundraiser for the Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee. Admissions are $25 per adult (age 16+) and family packages allow up to 4 children, ages 7-15, to attend for just one $10 fee when accompanied by a paying adult; children age 6 and under are free. For information or purchase.
