Blumenthal, Bysiewicz, Tong, Wooden Attend Pie & Politics in Ridgefield on Sunday

Luminaries will converge at Ridgefield Democrats' Pie & Politics event this Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, 2-4 pm. As of Tuesday morning, the Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee has received RSVPs from: US Senator Richard Blumenthal; Lieutenant Governor candidate and former Secretary of the State, Susan Bysiewicz; Attorney General candidate, State Representative William Tong; and State Treasurer candidate and former Hartford City Council President, Shawn Wooden.

Ridgefield Democrats' Chair Alex Harris said, “We are thrilled to be joined by such impressive leaders. Statewide officials and candidates often can't commit to small-town functions like this until the day of an event, so these early confirmations show that our Pie & Politics is widely recognized as a fun, friendly, and important event.”

Ridgefield First Selectman Rudy Marconi and local candidates Will Haskell (26th District State Senate), Aimee Berger-Girvalo (111th District State Representative), and Kenneth Gucker (138th District State Representative) will also attend. Ridgefield Democrats expect to receive RSVPs from other statewide officials and candidates right up to the start of the event.

A crowd-pleasing, family-friendly event, Pie & Politics features savory and sweet pies and nibbles, iced beverages, music, friendly spirited conversation and appearances by national, state and local officials and candidates. For information and to purchase admissions, see ridgefielddems.net.
