Ridgefield Democrats will kick off the campaign season in earnest this weekend with two major local events.
On Saturday, Sept 14, Democrats will hold an Open House of their new campaign headquarters at 416 Main St (the former AR Kids space, next door to Olley Court, and two doors from Tazza), from noon to 2 pm. Guests will enjoy pizza, beverages, and conversation with Democratic candidates in this fall’s local election, including First Selectman Rudy Marconi. All Ridgefielders interested in meeting the candidates, learning about Democrat’s exciting 2019 campaign efforts, sharing interests and concerns, or checking out Democratic headquarters and volunteer opportunities, are invited to join Ridgefield Democrats for this free open house and pizza lunch.
The very next day, Sunday, Sept 15, 2-4 pm, Democrats will kick things up a notch at their 2019 Pie & Politics event at the home of Betsy and Bob Thompson. The highly anticipated annual event is both a pep rally and a fundraiser for the Democratic Town Committee and the fall campaign. Attendees will enjoy a plethora of sweet pies, savory treats, iced beverages, and music. The delicious, family-friendly event is an opportunity to speak with Democratic candidates for local boards in greater depth.
Free professional valet parking will be provided as a courtesy to all guests. General admissions are $25 (age 16 and older), up to four children ages 7-15 may be admitted for a single Family Pack admission of just $10, and children 6 and under are free.
