Ridgefield Historical Society seeks to save historic buildings: Demolition Delay Ordinance goes to Town vote on March 4!

Demolition Delay Ordinance for Historic Preservation of Ridgefield

A Special Town Meeting will take place at Town Hall (lower level) on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at 7:30 pm to vote on a Demolition Delay Ordinance. It can be reviewed here.

The Ridgefield Historical Society and the Historic District Commission are sponsoring the ordinance which would give historic preservation a 90-day opportunity to try to save historic buildings.  A substantially similar proposed ordinance was defeated previously, so your presence to vote in person on Wednesday is critical.

Ridgefield residents will vote at the meeting to approve or reject the proposed ordinance.
