Pros and Cons of Cannabis Retail: Ridgefield Public Information Meeting on Saturday

The Ridgefield Economic & Community Development Commission (ECDC) encourages attendance at the Public Information Meeting being held by the Board of Selectmen to discuss the pros and cons of Cannabis Retail in Ridgefield this Saturday, April 2 at 10:00 am in the Town Hall Large Conference room. This will be the last of three such meetings.

At the March 26 meeting, the BOS noted that it is possible for the BOS to call a Special Referendum in order to allow voters to determine whether cannabis retail sales will be permitted. If individuals would like their voice heard regarding cannabis retail sales in our town, it is important to attend the April 2 meeting. If there is a good turnout, it's more likely the BOS will move to hold a referendum, so attendance is very important.

In August 2021, the ECDC held a Special Meeting and invited some panelists including a cannabis retail owner from Massachusetts and some representatives from a California organization, to discuss their experiences and answer questions. The minutes from this meeting can be found here

A recording of this meeting can be found a here (Look for "Cannabis Discussion" in August 2021)

Please contact the ECDC with any questions at ridgefieldecdc@gmail.com or follow the Commission on Facebook.
