Ridgefield Letter: Vote For Aimee Berger-Girvalo

To the editor

I am writing to urge voters to reelect Aimee Berger-Girvalo as state representative for the 111^th district. Aimee has worked tirelessly to secure legislation aimed at preventing gun violence.

Aimee, in her first term in office, addressed gun violence by helping gain legislative approval for a bill declaring gun violence a public health crisis and creating a state-level Office of Gun Violence and an advisory council on gun violence prevention and intervention.  That was in addition to a bill calling for fining gun shop owners that don’t install a burglar alarm system. And those two bills were in addition to helping secure funding for state and local task forces to address gun violence and automobile thefts.

With an outstanding record of shepherding legislation of importance on state and local levels such as that aimed at preventing gun violence, I believe Aimee deserves to be reelected.
