Watch Ridgefield BOE Candidate Q&A Interviews on Video from Comcast TV

Non-partisan interviews with the candidates running for election to Ridgefield’s Board of Education can be found on Public Access Channel 23.

The two-part forum, presented and live-streamed by Comcast on the Bobby O Show, is now available online here (episodes 004 and 005).

Host Bob Opotzner, a Democrat and former member of Ridgefield’s Board of Education, and Marty Heiser, a Republican, former member of Ridgefield’s Board of Finance and past Republican candidate for Ridgefield First Selectman, interviewed Ridgefield Board of Education candidates Jon Paradiso, Wyatt Lipman and Dawn-Marie Callahan.

All Board of Education candidates whose names appear on the November 7th ballot--Republican, Democrat and Unaffiliated--were invited to be part of the forum. Only the Democrats (Lipman and Paradiso) and the Unaffiliated candidate on the ballot (Callahan) agreed to be interviewed in this non-partisan session.

Questions were posed by Marty Heiser and Bob Opotzner, covering a range of topics. Learning more about these candidates is vital to making an informed choice. The Bobby O Show interviews stand alone as the only source for non-partisan candidate interviews because the Ridgefield League of Women Voter’s non-partisan debate was cancelled.

There are two ways to be informed: Watch the two 30-minute full shows, or watch excerpts on pertinent topics, including parental rights, qualifications for BOE, teaching and learning, and what’s right for Ridgefield.
