Ridgefield Police Reports: DUI & Criminal Mischief

May 9 

Subsequent to a M/V complaint for erratic operation, 38 year old Ridgefield man was stopped by the Ridgefield Police on Olmstead Lane where he failed field sobriety tests. He was processed at HQ and charged with D.U.I. and failure to drive right. He was released on a $100.00 cash bond and given a court date of 5/23/17 at 10:00 AM at the Danbury Superior Court to answer for the above said charges.

May 18

On 5/18/17 at 3:30am, officers responded to a report of someone banging on a resident’s door. The caller thought they may be trying to get in. When officers arrived they also found damage to several mailboxes. The person(s) banging on the door fled so the area was checked.

Twenty year old Christopher McClean of Ridgefield was located and initially did not comply and led officers on a short foot pursuit. He is being charged with criminal mischief 2nd, breach of peace 2nd, and interfering with duties of police officers. He is expected to appear at court 6/2/17
