Ridgefield Police Reports: MVA, DUI & More

July 8 - The operator of a black Nissan Versa was traveling north on Rt. 7 when she veered left on a right curve and struck a black BMW X3 head on in the southbound lane. Both operators and a passenger were transported to Danbury Hospital for evaluation. The operator of the Nissan was issued an infraction for Failure to Drive in Proper Lane. 

July 10 - A 29-year-old woman from Nashua, New Hampshire came to Ridgefield Police Department to turn herself in on a Prawn Warrant issued on 1/7/14. The warrant stemmed from a previous arrest from 2010. She was released on a $1,500 cash bond. She was given a court date of 7/25/17. 

July 11 - A 20-year-old man from Stamford turned himself into the Ridgefield Police Department on a Prawn Warrant issued on 3/16/17. The warrant stemmed from a traffic stop in 2016. He was released on a $132 cash bond and given a court date of 7/26/17.

July 13 - Report of a one car MVA in the parking lot of 890 Ethan Allen Hwy. An investigation revealed that the operator, a 39-year-old man from Ridgefield, was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The operator was arrested and charged with a DUI and was released on a $100 bond. He is to appear in court on 7/26/17.
