Jeep Stolen from Pamby Motors, Ridgefield Police Investigate

On May 6, 2018 at approximately 1:44 A.M. the Ridgefield Police Department responded to Danbury Rd. (Rt.7) in the vicinity of Pamby Motors for the report of an abandoned motor vehicle.  Upon arrival, officers located a Jeep Renegade that was unoccupied in the southbound lanes of Rt.7. 

Further investigation revealed that a showroom window at Pamby Motors had been smashed and the building entered.  It was determined that the suspect(s) entered the dealership and took the key fob belonging to a new Jeep Renegade that was parked in the lot.  The suspect(s) stole the Jeep Renegade and began traveling southbound on Rt. 7. 

The suspect(s) traveled a short distance before abandoning the Jeep on Rt.7 and fleeing the area. It is unclear at this time as to why the vehicle was abandoned.
