March 17 - At approximately 11:30 pm, Ridgefield Police responded to the area of Branchville Road and Bloomer Road for the report of a one-car motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the operator fled the scene after striking a wire rope guardrail and a fence. Investigation revealed that the operator was a 21-year-old female from Weston. She was later charged by warrant with evading responsibility and failure to drive in proper lane. Ms.Gillan was given a court date of May 22 at 10:00am at Danbury Superior Court. No injuries were sustained from the accident. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene by Pamby Motor.
May 6 - Police has the southbound lane of Route 7 Danbury Road in front of Pamby Motor closed for an investigation. A vehicle processing south on Route 7 nearly hit one of the police vehicles used to block the road. Officers were able to stop the vehicle and conducted a DUI investigation. The operator was unable to perform the sobriety tests to standard. The operator was arrested and charged with DUI, Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License, and Driving while Right to Drive Suspended. He was processed and released.
May 7 - A 48-year-old woman from Ridgefield has turned herself in on a PRAWN warrant that was issued by The Danbury Superior Court for Failure to Respond to a Violation. Mrs.Graves is to appear in Danbury Superior Court on May 24. Mrs. Graves was released on a $750 cash bond.
May 7 - Officers responded to the complaint of a larceny at the Verizon Wireless store. Video surveillance showed suspects placing items in a bag and leaving the store without paying. Investigation led to the suspect being interviewed and ultimately issued a misdemeanor summons for Larceny 6th degree. The suspect is to appear in Danbury Superior Court on May 24. The suspect was released on a written promise to appear.
