Ridgefield Is Ready, Are You?

Go bags, generators, preparedness kits—these are all things we’d like to put on the back burner for—well, a rainy day! But the Ridgefield Office of Emergency Operations (OEM) along with the town’s dynamic Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) make community preparedness a priority every day regardless of rain or shine.

September is National Preparedness Month and residents are reminded to stay prepared by following the Town’s official emergency postings: Twitter: @Ridgefield_OEM; Facebook: Ridgefield OEM; Town of Ridgefield: www.ridgefieldct.org. Residents are also urged to sign up for CTAlert, (www.ctalert.gov) the state emergency alert system used by town officials to send updated information via phone, text, or email during an event.

Ridgefield CERT and Office of Emergency Management representatives will be available to talk about how town residents can teach their families to be prepared at Public Safety Day, Sunday, September 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East Ridge Middle School.
