Bomb Threat at Ridgefield High School Prompts Early Dismissal

Today, January 18, a written bomb threat was discovered at Ridgefield High School. As a result, school dismissed at 10:45am. Below is a statement from JeanAnn C. Paddyfote, Ph.D. Interim Superintendent of Schools.

The Administration at the high school immediately notified the Ridgefield Police Department who began to investigate. Administrators from Ridgefield Public Schools and Ridgefield Police Department determined that there was no immediate threat to students or staff, but out of an abundance of caution Ridgefield High School will be dismissing early at 10:45am.

The Ridgefield Police Department in conjunction with the Connecticut State Police will be
continuing their investigation.
