Ridgefield Emergency Operations Center is Activated, Ready for Town Emergencies

Town of Ridgefield Enhanced Situational Awareness

Community Emergency Response Team Director Sean McEvoy (left) and communications specialist Carl Kristopherson install new monitors on the walls of the Ridgefield Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to provide real-time video/audio feeds to staff and policymakers during emergency/disaster situations.

The EOC is activated when necessary to coordinate planning, response, recovery and mitigation for all town-wide emergencies that exceed the capabilities of local public safety organizations and their mutual aid partners. The EOC hosts a Multi-Agency Coordinating center comprising of all town agencies involved in keeping Ridgefielders safe.

The EOC team is managed by Emergency Management Director Dick Aarons and supported by a highly trained staff of CERT volunteer specialists.
