Ridgefield Police report that yesterday, Wednesday, July 22, a motorist traveling on North Salem Road stopped his vehicle and attempted to remove a fallen tree from the roadway. While doing so, a vehicle traveling southbound struck the tree, injuring the person attempting to remove the tree.
The individual was transported to the hospital for minor injuries and there was minor damage to the vehicle, police say.
