Update from First Selectman Rudy Marconi

Good Afternoon, this is First Selectman Rudy Marconi. 

Ridgefield will be pursuing two major failings on the part of Eversource during this recent storm--their initial “make safe” response and their communications to our town. I will be meeting with U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal this afternoon to stress the failings of Eversource.

On the Board of Selectman agenda this evening is the approval to become a party to the PURA investigations into Eversource’s response to the storm.

Eversource is working hard to restore the remaining 1.7% of the outages by the end of the day today. Expect intermittent outages as restoration continues.

In spite of extensive power restoration, there are many downed wires and much clean up to be done. Consider all downed wires live.
