Ridgefield Police Report Shoplifting from Liquor Store, Seek Information

Shoplifting Larceny

Ridgefield Police report that on Monday, October 12 at 3:40 pm, officers responded to a reported Shoplifting/Larceny from a liquor store. A store employee stated that two individuals wearing full-face masks and gloves entered the store and took approximately $500 in merchandise. The individuals left the store without paying.

According to police, "The individuals fled in a Grey 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Ohio registration. The vehicle evaded the Wilton Police who attempted to stop them."

The same day this vehicle was used in an armed robbery that occurred in Branford, CT, police say.

This case is under investigation by the RPD Detective Bureau.
