Open Position: Connecticut Certified Police Officer – The Ridgefield Police Department is accepting applications from Connecticut certified police officers for the position of patrol officer.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of continuous service (must be off-field training 2 years) and be in good standing with their current department.
•Closing Date: December 21, 2020
•Description: Applicants must be eligible to meet all requirements established by POSTC and the Ridgefield Police Department.
•Salary/Benefits: Salary $67,020 - $98,210. Salary step will be based on years of experience as CT Certified police officer. 13 paid holidays, Defined Contribution Pension Plan, paid vacation days, medical/dental/vision insurance, shift differential, tuition assistance.
•Selection Process: The selection process will include, at minimum, a detailed review of your packet, and successful completion of:
1. Command Staff Interviews

3. Detailed Background Investigation
4. Physical Agility
5. Drug Screening
6. Medical Exam
7. Polygraph
8. Psychological Exam
