Today, January 14, 2021, Ridgefield Police Captain Shawn Platt reported that officers responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on Ethan Allen Highway (Route 7) near Stonehenge Road in Ridgefield.
Platt said that the two vehicles collided head-on and both operators needed to be extricated from their vehicles.
Operator #1, 20-year-old Waterbury resident Jose Miguel Guillen-Hernandez, was pronounced deceased at the scene, while Operator #2, 44-year-old Karol Mora of Ridgefield, was transported to the Danbury Hospital for evaluation of injuries, police say.
This is an ongoing investigation, and the Ridgefield Police Department is asking anyone that may have witnessed the accident or has any information is asked to contact Capt. Shawn Platt or Lt. Brian Durling at (203) 438-6531.
