On Thursday, April 2 at 10:58 pm, Ridgefield Police officers responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Main Street (Route 35) in Ridgefield.
The motor vehicle was traveling southbound when it crossed over the northbound lane striking a utility pole on the opposite side of road causing it to break and fall into the roadway. The motor vehicle operator, Danbury resident Isabella Gould, 26, was treated at the scene and transported to the Danbury Hospital for injuries.
Utility crews are on scene, and Main Street will be closed between Pound Street and Gilbert Street until approximately 5:00 pm today, April 2. This incident remains under investigation.
