According to Ridgefield Police Captain Shawn Platt, on Saturday, August 7 at approximately 10:43 pm, Ridgefield Police Department responded to a residential burglary that occurred on Great Pond Road in Ridgefield. It was determined that forced entry was made into the home by breaking a basement window. Once inside the individual(s) removed a box containing jewelry from the home, police say.
"It is believed that this incident occurred earlier in the evening at approximately 8:30 pm," Platt wrote in a press release.
